Washakie Museum — The Last West

The Last West presents the social history of one of the last areas in the western contiguous United States to be settled – the Big Horn Basin, Wyoming. An isolated and challenging environment set the stage for intense cattle wars, lawlessness and pioneering.

Work included full content development, artifact identification and acquisition, all exhibit and graphic design, construction documentation and administration, original area photography and media work, interactive development and extensive field work requiring in depth field work.

Seth Frankel’s leadership in the creation of the new museum was outstanding. His efforts and dedication to our institution and community brought a world class exhibit experience to the middle of Wyoming. The exhibits are touching expressions of our museum and capture the heart of our mission.
